Sındırgı Fracture Has Become Activated! The earthquake, whose epicenter was in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir and which occurred at 20:51, was felt intensely not only in Balıkesir and surrounding provinces, but also in Istanbul. AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) recorded the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.9 and its depth as 9.64 kilometers (Kandilli Observatory reported the magnitude as 4.7).
